Hi, everyone!

This week we had our first look at the actual Doha doll, lovingly referred to as DOppa.

It was exciting to see a vision come to life! Our manufacturer sends full pictures and videos of the doll, then the doll with all accessories, so we can feel confident in our sample before it ships. Let me tell you…

…Doha is flipping adorable.

However, we’re not quite ready to show him off yet! There was one sample defect our agent identified. There was also one tiny detail that we felt impacted the balance of DOppa’s face, so the sample is being sent back for corrections.

TIMELINE AS OF 11/6:

DONE 11/4 - Production of the Doha doll sample began on 10/15, after weeks of negotiation and deliberation with our manufacturer. We are hoping to see our first photos and videos of the completed sample in the next two weeks.

CURRENT 11/5 - Sample corrections begin, which can take 10-20 days to complete. The corrections were confirmed on 11/5 CST.

After the sample is mailed to us, there will be a brief delay between receipt and reveal, giving us time to evaluate the sample, take promotional photographs, and show it to Doha. We expect that, barring no production delays or revisions, our first looks should be released no later than early December.

The production timeline is still TBD. Based on similar campaigns for dolls of this same amount of complexity, the total project timeline should be less than 6 months as of sample start date.

Once production starts on the Doha Dolls, we will start working on the releases of the other four members.

We will share updates every chance we get! This doll is not for us, but for our Greeny community - especially those of us who know and love doll collecting. 💕
